Biotrial celebrates 30 years of Oncology expertise and 10 years of OncoTrial collaboration
For more than three decades, Biotrial has been a key player in oncology research, supporting the development of innovative therapies from preclinical to clinical research. This year, our Rennes facilities hosted a special event marking 30 years of oncology expertise and the 10th anniversary of OncoTrial, our joint laboratory with the University of Rennes.
The celebration brought together representatives from academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry, alongside leading voices in oncology and biotechnology, including:

Their presentations provided valuable insights into oncology research, illustrating how strong academic partnerships and industrial expertise can accelerate innovation and the development of new treatments. Speakers explored the translation of preclinical discoveries into clinical breakthroughs, highlighting advances in immunotherapy models, collaborative research initiatives, and new strategies to optimize the design and performance of oncology trials.
Building on these discussions, attendees were invited to explore Biotrial’s 3,500 m² preclinical laboratories, including the TherA-Tech animal imaging facilities, where advanced imaging technologies are used to assess therapeutic efficacy and translational biomarkers. The program continued with an exclusive visit to Biotrial’s Clinical Pharmacology Unit, which includes 150 beds dedicated to studies involving both healthy volunteers and oncology patients — a unique integration that reflects Biotrial’s comprehensive translational approach.
